SCRUM: THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE UGLY

WHAT WILL I LEARN?


This workshop is focused on discovering Agile methods, their purpose and how they work.  After this course, you will be able to understand the Agile mindset, learn methods and practices and see how they can be implemented.


CONTENT: 

The course is 40% theory, 40% practice, and 20% recap and conclusion. The theory part consists of understanding the concept and sharing case studies with the audience. The practical part consists of exercises that capture the essence of the presented methods (day to day problems can apply). Afterward, we will retrospect and share our feedback about the lessons learned.

Examples of Agile methods covered in the course: Scrum, Kanban, XP, Less, SAFe.


STRUCTURE: 2 days workshop (14h) + 2h follow-up meeting (after a period of time)

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

 

After this workshops you will understand what is the mission of software testing. Learn how to manage expectations from your team members and stakeholders. How to address web testing and how to adapt your testing based on your context.

 

CONTENT: 

The training is structured in 3 modules:

- Basic Testing - the focus is on the basic knowledge and skills required in order to become a good software tester or to refresh what you already know and put it in a different perspective.

- Testing Approaches - you will be able to identify what approach will produce the best results within any context that you test.

- Working within a team (of testers) - you will learn what it means to work within a team and what is required to create a team (of testers)

 

STRUCTURE:  5 days workshop delivered in 1 month

WHAT WILL I LEARN?


This workshop aims to create an interactive learning space, where people share and work together in order to generate know-how and solutions.


CONTENT: 

The workshop consists of 2 phases:
- know-how sharing phase about scrum experiences (fails, wins, what worked and what not)
- focus group with the purpose to gather solutions for daily situations within the team


STRUCTURE:  1 days workshop + follow up meeting (1 h - 1 month after)

SEATS AVAILABLE PER SESSION:  up to 12 participants

WHAT WILL I LEARN?


This workshop is focused on discovering and applying SCRUM in a fun way. It is an original scenario that provides a team with plenty of opportunities to learn about how to work with SCRUM. A big part of the game is adaptation and improvisation.


CONTENT: 

Based on received instructions (user stories), participants will have to the city during 2 releases (one of 3 sprints and one of 2 sprints). Each SCRUM event will have a specific timing. There are also pop up user stories, not just the ones above. Depending on the mood of the participants the timelines and be adjusted or other sprints added.


STRUCTURE:  1/2 day workshop (up to 4h)
