Why did I become Agile Coach?

Two and a half years have passed since I decided to start a new career challenge. I have intuited a field and a need that develops in the IT industry. The one of continuous learning and professional development. So I chose this role of Agile Coach, in order to help software teams find a better way to work. Since then, I have discovered  that there are three things that motivate me: # The joy of

Meetup Events and their added value

Sharing ideas and connecting with people is an endless source of knowledge and ideas. In our opinion, meetup events are great enablers for this. Another benefit is that it builds relationships easily. Also, it creates a mindset of communicating freely. For example, last night Product Tank meetup was awesome. We had some great talks about expectations, tensions, and situations between engineering and product. The format was interactive and there was diversity in the panel. Meanwhile, the

Thoughts about retrospectives

Retrospective is a very important tool in agile development. The purpose of retrospectives is clearly described in the 12th agile principle: ‘At regular intervals, the team reflects on how to become more effective, then tunes and adjusts its behavior accordingly.’ Besides effectiveness, this reflection process brings improvement and innovation within a team (find out more about retrospective benefits here).  Although people may look at it as a side effect, an awesome benefit is team bonding. We enjoying being part of this community each time we have the opportunity.  ‘I talked with the students from Economic

It’s 2017 and AGILE is going strong

It grew into numerous practices and methodologies. It created a boost for many development teams and non-it ones. The first glimpse of it was in 1968 through “Conway’s Law”. Decades later it had a massive boost in 2001 through AGILE Manifesto. And here we are today with more than 70 different practices (trace the timeline of agile practices here). Don’t think of these practices as being SUPERMAN. Even him had flaws and faced issues on this planet.

Agile Estimations

We had a great time at Agile Estimations workshop! The goal of the event was to connect people and discover new ways of becoming better at estimating projects. Eduard Budacu did a great job in facilitating the discussions and exercises.   We are grateful that Adore Me was our Event Partner. They were great hosts and the place was perfect to create content and connect ideas. And the goodies were more than welcomed.  Thanks to all

SCRUM: the good , the bad, the ugly

Scrum was an interactive workshop, where we shared experiences about Scrum methodology. The purpose was to create an open space setup, in order to learn from each other. We debated and talked about the ups and downs of using agile practices and how to improve. The workshop had three meeting rounds. Afterwards, we gathered the participants on a dedicated Slack channel. It is a great space to share news, tools and concepts we come across. Eduard Budacu was the
